Creative Curio

We are so excited to show you our latest project, the Creative Curio. This darling little curio cabinet with a glass door is a magical place to keep your favorite photos and tiny treasures. The cabinet is painted and decorated with some fabulously fun techniques and then filled with fairies, flowers, and bunnies from Graphic 45's Once Upon a Springtime line. The bottom two compartments contain pull out minibooks with plenty of room for pictures.

This project will be taught during our creative buffet style Scrapbook Sampler classes, February 3 and February 10th, from 5-9pm at Covenant Christian Academy (901 Cheek Sparger Rd., Colleyville 76034).

The cost is $30.

Introducing Our first Scrapbook Sampler Studio for School of the Arts

Covenant Christian Academy has a wonderful enrichment program called School of the Arts.  Through this program kids can take music lessons, drama lessons, and art classes.  We are so excited to be teaching a once a month kids' craft class as part of this program.  Classes will be held at Covenant and are open to all kids ages 2nd grade and up.  Parents are welcome to attend with their child.

Valentine Day Cards and Heart Shaped Box Teacher Gift-- January 31, 6-8 pm—What could be sweeter than homemade Valentine's?  In this workshop you will make 7 Valentines cards using fabric, paper, felt, inks, stamps, embossing, flowers, ribbon, tulle, buttons, and more.  Then you will make a fabulous heart shaped box with a see through top to fill with goodies for that special teacher, mom, grandmother, or friend.  You will leave with all the goodies to make 14 more Valentines. 

Space is limited to 10 students - sign up fast!   2nd grade and up; Parents are welcome to attend!

Students will need to bring with them this basic supply list:

·         Scissors

·         Paper trimmer

·         Tape runner style adhesive

·         Liquid Adhesive

·         3d Pop Dots

·         FabriTac

·         Pencil

·         Black and brown cat's eyes inks

·         Ruler

·         Crop-a-dile (if you have one, if not you can use ours)

Love Birds is For Sale!

We are happy to announce that we are now taking sign ups for Love Birds! 

This is a fabulous 8x10 Valentines scrapbook with a wood base and tons of cute Valentine paper, fabric, ribbon, trim, and fun extras!  Come have fun with us while you complete this project - Becca and April will be teaching this class at Covenant Christian Academy (located at 901 Cheek Sparger Rd, Colleyville 76034) on February 3rd and February 10th from 5-9.

Sneak Peek - Save the Date!!

I am so excited to offer you a few sneak peeks of our first class!  This is a FABULOUS Valentines themed scrapbook album called "Love Birds".  We will be offering this project, along with two others we'll reveal later this week, on February 3rd and February 10th from 5-9pm at Covenant Christian Academy in Colleyville. 

Can't make it those days?  No problem!  We will also offer these classes as kits complete with pictures and instructions!

We will begin taking sign ups later this week.  Please watch the blog for sign up and payment details!  All of the information will be posted here.

A Little Update

Hello ladies!

We have been getting lots of emails, calls, and questions these past few weeks and we'd like to share some updates with you!

Last week we placed our first wholesale orders with some FAB scrapbooking companies!  It was so fun and exciting to see and pick out new paper lines.  Our first purchases are due to arrive next week and we are busy, busy, busy creating some AMAZING workshops for you.  We have also had fun creating some new CUSTOM surfaces for our first set of workshops!

We are finalizing details with our new venue and hope to be able to share that with you next week.  We will be teaching in the mid-cities area. 

You will be able to view all of our class offerings on this blog.  You will be able to sign up to come to one of our workshops, which will be taught creative buffet style (meaning that you can do any of our projects on any date we offer a class), OR you may purchase our workshops as a kit and will have access to pictures to finish your project on your own time.

Becca and I are also offering private events and parties.  We have had many requests for custom projects for groups of friends.  If you are interested in hosting a scrap event or would like a project for a party, please email us at aprilandbecca@gmail.com.

We will be posting our first classes in mid-January and will announce our venue and class dates soon!
